Feels like I haven't had anything new in a while so here I am with two new things at once!

Blue leopard jeans courtesy of Urban Outiftters (HERE), and chunky boyfriend jumper from Asos (predictably teamed with failsafe leather jacket and Nelly.com boots).

I don't know what it is about these jeans but they feel very Spring like to me and are lifting the winter blues in this Baltic London weather. I think they must be the first bit of colour other than Autumnal burgundy that I've worn in a while...these cold dark days really take their toll sartorially! But things are looking up, it's 5 p.m and still just about light outside... officially over the hump of Winter!

Another favourite birthday prize-the blue fox. I picked it up in Portobello Market after my birthday brunch and while I originally thought I'd go for black, this midnight blue version caught my eye and eventually ending up winning out. I love the combination of cobalt blue and black when worn over my well-worn leather jacket... the only problem is it's just too cold in London right now even for this (only two coats and several layers underneath will do as far as I'm concerned) so I'm waiting for the mercury to rise just a few degrees so I can wear it out and about.

Apologies for rubbish lack of posts lately, a hectic work schedule, unrelenting cold and the small matter of celebrating my quarter of a century milestone (eek) have meant Fashion Me Now has been slightly neglected over the past 2 weeks.

The big 25 was last Saturday and I basically spent the whole day eating and drinking with my nearest and dearest. Pics from the day mainly revolved around food 9!) but I'll be posting some an outfit post tomorrow so some fashion-related content is on its way I promise! One of the highlights of the day had to be the beautiful silver branch ring by Noemi Klein I was given by a big group of girlfriends. I'm notoriously picky when it comes to jewellery, so it's no small feat finding something I instantly love which is exactly what happened with this beauty. Rugged, raw and yet really delicate all at the same time, Noemi Klein is a new favourite of mine and definitely a designer worth checking out if you're not familiar with her already. I literally haven't stopped admiring it since so a huge thank you once again to all my girls for the loveliest gift.

After losing my vintage red and black check shirt I bought in Paris three years ago for about €5, I decided to look to Paris once again for replacement and opted for this Etoile Isabel Marant one I sought out in the Net-A-Porter sale. Initially it felt like it was going to itch like crazy because the flannel is so coarse but weirdly once on, it just feels thick, cosy and as authentic as a designer lumberjack shirt can feel.

Also snapped up in the sale was this Eddie Borgo rose gold cone bracelet which feels very at home next to my other piece of rose gold arm candy, namely the little star friendship bracelet I bought from Asos about a year ago and haven't taken off since. Also included in the hoard was a Pachachuti fedora and some Wolford tights like the ones I was searching for the other day in the style of Ashley Olsen (yep, I hunted some down in the end!)

Right, now I'm off on a little shopping trip... and when I say little, I mean shopping for a birthday present for my little nephew Max who was 1 yesterday!

Currently wearing my new Maje leather skirt I swooped in on in the sale, teamed with my current favourite open-knit jumper from Gap. I have it in cream and grey and snipped off the little gold buttons it had on the shoulder for a less fuss, more-Marant vibe (less is always more when it comes to details in my books)... well that was the intent anyway! It doesn't have a trace of cashmere in it and yet is soft soft soft even after multiple washes-always a winning result for someone whose clumsiness demands regular machine washing! And nothing beats the current London chill like my Topshop Boutique shearling coat. Bought last year, it was my most indulgent purchase to date and was clearly a good investment as I still pull it on again and again as it's just classic enough to weather the trends.

Apologies for being M.I.A lately and a belated Happy Christmas to all!

I've been enjoying some serious downtime at home in the country with family for Christmas and blogging has slightly fallen by the wayside... Eating and drinking far too much seems to have been mandatory over the festive period but it's been just what I needed after a manic couple of weeks in London.

As someone who generally spends all spare pennies on clothes, it's always nice to get a few bits and pieces for Christmas that aren't for my wardrobe! A Topshop boutique silk camisole and a couple of additions to my burgeoning friendship bracelet collection satisfied any sartorial cravings for the day... But the main event was the black wool and leather coat I picked up from The Kooples sale a few days before Christmas. While I'm not a huge fan of coats with full leather sleeves, I do love a leather detail or two so the black leather lepels and pocket trims work really well and suit me down to the ground. It's one of those coats you can throw on over jeans and scuffed boots and instantly feel pulled together and, dare I say it, chic - not something I'm used to but am currently kind of loving!

These boots from Nelly.com were such a good find but after limping all the way to work depsite wearing 2 pairs of socks I have had to accept they are just too big. I've already raced onto Nelly.com and ordered a smaller size so if anyone's interested in buying these, leave your details in the comments box. They are a size 38/UK 5 but come up big so would fit a U.K size 5.5-6 I reckon (I'm a U.K 4.5 so have gone for the 37 this time).

They retail on Nelly.com for €42.95 but as I've worn mine twice I'm selling them for £25.

Really want to find some tights like these and rock them like a true copycat with a leather skirt and basic grey marl top. So simple and yet so good!

The temperature has just suddenly dropped in London which means the only thing leather, thick, thick tights and vintage fur (and a thick, knitted vest!) will do.

A quick lunchtime post, super rushed as trying to brave the cold. Wearing the perfect leather skirt kindly borrowed from my editor at work-perfect length and sits just right on the waist/hips so its the perfect level to do the half tuck-in. A hard feat when it comes to little leather skirts!

So, that very stylish friend of mine Charlie who works at Deuxieme (see below post 'LurexLurex') I was telling you about...well, she is also a very talented TV presenter and has recently started an exclusive interview series called Teabreaks. Up first, of-the-moment London-based band The Vaccines. Recently returned from touring with The Artic Monkeys, The Vaccines share a pot of tea and chat with Charlie.

Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of The Vaccines, and if you're not, well...why not?!

A couple of hazy iphone shots of last nights get-up wearing my new (very squeaky!) Gap burgundy leather trousers. I went to a Gap bloggers breakfast on Thursday for the launch of the brand's collaboration with Isabel Marant for a limited edition T-shirt which supports the RED World Aids day. The t-shirts are in store now and support such a worthy cause so please go and buy one if you can. Plus, who wouldn't want a little piece of Marant in their wardrobe...?

Anywho, Denise from Gap quickly gave me the head's up that there were a few pairs of these leather trousers left in store so I had to investigate...To be honest, I was sold as soon as I heard the words 'burgundy leather'! I promptly ran downstairs, tried them on, fell in love and dashed to the till. An impulse buy yes, but when you find leather trousers that fit this good, and only one pair left in your size, logic and common sense have no business interfering!

I teamed them with Topshop heels, Cos white t-shirt, belt from ebay and my vintage fur coat.

So I know quite a few of you were hankering after a pair of black boots I posted in recent inspiration post entitled 'Black and White'...I was a hopeless blogger and didn't know where they were from and was thus very little help. Well, Ta-Dah! I just found (and bought) these babies from Scandinavian site Nelly.com... A snip at only 42 euros and delivery is only 5 euros throughout Europe. They only have 3 sizes left so hurry hurry and get them from HERE while you can.

As the queen of oversized bags the size of a small child, I've decided its time to try downscaling. I'll never be able to do the teeny tiny bag thing (too much essential junk I need to cart around), but this wash bag style Urban Outfitters clutch is just right. Big enough for all my essentials while encouraging me to de-clutter...ideal. I love the tiny detail of the brown zipper too.

And the essentials? My Louis wallet, Diptique Vetyvero scent, Smythson notebook (with a very nice motto to live by on the front), ipod touch, Nars Laguna bronzer, YSL Touche Eclat, Lancome Mascara and the Marc Jacobs pendant I bought in Paris which is my bling of choice right now. Oh and if everything looks a bit grubby...well, it's probably because it is-my regular handbags are health hazards (hence the downscale!).

A feel-good outfit from last Friday...had some girls round for supper at mine and thought it was a good excuse to bring out the new heels and shirt I've yet to wear. I haven't worn a court shoe in about 6 years but these Topshop ones had the edge (without the price tag) to tempt me to try a ladylike style again... Thought the shirt was a bit Essex at first but rapidly changed that to a bit Chloe and now love it.

After some Autumnal sunbathing 2 weeks ago, it's most definitely back to normal in blighty as the temperatures continue to drop. As a natural sun bunny, the cold weather is taking some adjusting to... I've dug out my fur coat, dug out the electric blanket (old before my time much?), and am constantly on the look out for cosy wardrobe additions to keep my spirits up. So its pretty much perfect timing that my very talented friend Rosie has launched her own line of seriously covetable cashmere accessories. Unlike so many cashmere brands, the colours, designs and general spirit of the brand are cool, contemporary and actually make you look forward to wrapping up warm. The fluoro pieces are already firmly on my Christmas wish list (but in true sun-loving style I'm already visualizing wearing the beanie right through into next summer with denim cut offs) and as for the copper Where the Wild Things Are style headband...I'm not even going to try and wait for Christmas for that one.

So...First attempt at a somewhat hazy outfit post. Actually not really outfit post at all, just a few iphone snaps from a night out a couple of weeks ago with my friend Phoebe. Phoebs was wearing the biggest babe of a coat by Sandro...The photos don't do it justice but it is amazing and made my vintage fur coat/leather jacket combo feel very inadequate.

Perfect styling from Oyster magazine featuring model of the moment Rachel Rutt. There's not one look I don't love...That Friend of Mine mint green skirt with the rough and ready denim jacket-come-shirt is a particular favourite.

Had a very successful day's shopping today. Managed to replace my vintage black leather skirt after finally admitting my current one is just too small and inappropriately short with bare legs, sniff sniff, and picked up some wicked slipper style court shoes. Very chic and spindly-heeled compared to what I normally go for but I'm up for the challenge! Will be doing some thick-sock-show-stretching tonight to prepare them for Paris... Favorite purchase of the day was a two-tone denim shirt from The Kooples which reminds me of the beautiful Isabel Marant A/W 11 one doing the rounds in Street Style shots at the moment. Same effect but half the price is always a winner.

Now time for X Factor... 7.30-9.30 p.m- ITV you are spoiling us...

A few more snaps from Fashion Week....Do I have an obsession about feet that I don't know about? Apologies for excessive shoe shots! The jumper in the top look is from Zara and is a firm favorite already. I never thought a polo neck was something that would make you feel good rather than wanting to curl up by an open fire, but it really delivered. There's something really comforting about wearing something so chunky and oversizd on top when you go for a short short skirt with boots. It kind of takes the edge off as I for one sometimes feel a bit exposed when flashing a lot of leg.

Now just catching up on Zzzs before heading to Paris bright and early on Monday. This heat wave is throwing packing planning into chaos. As soon as you get your head around chunky knits, coats and generally wrapping up for winter, the British weather hits you with a 28 degree curve ball. I'm definitely going to be leaving a little room in the case for some vintage finds and maybe some Marant...It would be rude not to, non?

It's so autumnul already I'm feeling pretty blissed out holed up at home in the countryside with the remote control, a pile of magazines and my cat for company. Just had a quick trip out to get a new ipod after mine died after 6 good years (mourning all the oldies but goodies I've lost), and

typically got sidetracked in Zara and, blame the new season, picked up two chunky knits. Finally went for that neon pink number I've been procrastinating over for weeks now, and the other is black and white speckled with a turtleneck. Makes me feel a bit like Claire Danes in My So-called Life and that can only be a good thing...

Sorry for being a bad blogger recently...Fashion Week is on the approach and I promise to post some detaily/outfitty shots as the weekend approaches. Lots more posts to come to stick with me.

Did a little thing with Asos recently for their October issue. It was such a fun day with a really cool, welcoming team so massive thank you to all involved for making it such a great day. It was the day before I flew to Spain and was the perfect start to my holiday. The jumper in the top picture was my fave piece of the whole day and definitely on my shopping list-I think I will actually turn into a waffle knit this winter!

I was really kindly gifted these gorgeous linen and lace bloomers recently by Australian label and boutique Indigo. I say bloomers rather than shorts because they've got that slight A-line, over-sized feel to them. The little flash of antique-feeling lace is always a winner as it means you can wear your blackest, chunkiest boots and beaten up leathers all at once and still feel feminine and bit summery. The weather at the moment is so weird and ridiculously bitter for the end of August. While I'm praying for an Indian summer, outfits like this teamed with a really chunky knit are ideal for battling the confusing temperatures.

I thought I'd introduce you to one of the nicest things in my wardrobe at the moment...I bought this beautiful printed silk playsuit from my very talented friends

behind silk lingerie label Beautiful Bottoms. Designed for the beach as well as the bedroom, this received a lot of good press when I wore it as cover-up in Spain. It looks just as good over black or white swimwear (I wore it over my white crochet bikini) as it does for some shut eye after dark. I'm counting down the days till I can wear it in the sun again, but in the meantime I can't bear to put it away even when I'm not wearing it so I've taken to hanging it in various places around my room.

A little photo diary of my 6 days in Cadaques in Spain...I got back late last night and am pining to go back so bad. It ws literally the best holiday ever, despite the lack of sun, and will go down as some of the most fun days I've ever spent.

Great friends, LOTS of food (paella, calamari, cheese and tomato bread to name some of daily diet), giant Vodka and Tonics sloping around in espadrilles, long talks on the beach, guitar on the roof and endless long nights laughing till dawn made for the perfect getaway which will definitely be repeated next year.

Picked up these sweet sandals by Maje at the Selfridges sale. I started to think I'd missed the boat for summer sandals when I discovered by two options from Cos and Topshop had sold out and it was only the dregs of the sale left. However, I was seriously pleased they had all sold out when, after a little covert sale snooping, I stumbled upon these. When it comes to summer sandals I like mine plain black, minimal and with little to no embellishment, so these are ideal. They are also the comfiest sandals I've ever worn-not a blister in sight or bit of toe rub-and hence were top of my list for holiday packing...

My favorite designer to emerge from London over the past few seasons, Simone Rocha has yet to disappoint. The tippy-toe brogues were the highlight at the A/W 11 Fashion East Show. They were such a surprise and it almost took a while for your eyes to adjust to what was actually going on-such an amazing, original concept that perfectly worked with the deconstructed mesh blazers and Where the Wild Things Are crowns. Androgynous tailoring meets girlish preppy, Rocha knows just how girls want to dress right now.

I'm having a bad morning today-some horrible person stole my beautiful, vintage leather jacket last night when I was at a friend's birthday. It's the thing I love the most in my wardrobe and people always said it's the nicest leather jacket they've ever seen. Well, clearly someone with great taste thought so to and took what ain't there's. My one comfort is that the pockets had totally worn through so fingers crossed they put their phone/wallet in the pocket only for it to fall out unawares....that's called Karma!

Grief stricken I'm going to have to replace it asap...Think I saw a great one in the Maje sale in Selfridges to might have to hit that after a couple of days mourning.

I love my silver but you can't beat gold with a tan and I always go back to my favourite gold pieces in the Summer. I picked up the gold thread with cross, knuckle duster and slim bangle with chain at the Oxfrd Circus Topshop last weekend-so many unknown, cheap brands on top of Topshop's own I had a bit of field day. The snake is a family piece that belonged to my Granny and is probably the most treasured thing I own. I always wear it above my elbow and love the fact it looks so current but my granny used to rock it years ago! The gold ring I bought in Kalkan in Turkey with my boyfriend 3 years ago-it's always a fail safe, fits perfectly and, best of all, reminds me of good times.

I love a flash of back at the mo and am endlessly drawn to spaghetti straps and low-cut backs on tops and dresses for holiday. It must a be Summer thing as it really is the only time of year that part of your body is on show. I guess as a child of the nineties, when the Calvin Klein bias-cut spaghetti strap dress was the eptiome of chic (still is in my opinion), a bit of back is forever associated in my mind with elegance and style.

Tan lines and bra straps need not apply.

Talking of backs, I'm heading back to bed...the Summer lurgy caught up with me today so I've spent my Sunday drinking hot honey and lemon and dosing myself with cold and flu pills. Hope you're weekends have been more eventful!

I just saw this new A/W Chanel campaign in Elle and it stopped me dead. Such a cool move for Chanel Ad wise-Freja's disheveled jet-black hair kind of reminds of the mad wife in Jane Eyre or Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, it's so Gothic yet modern at the same time. I love the Worst Witch vibe of it all.

I am a bikini magpie, and as soon as there's a holiday in sight it's almost like my go-to to get me in the mood. Even though I'm not going away till the end of July, it would have been rude not to snap up this Zimmerman bikini in the My-Wardrobe.com sale. Personally, I think Aussie style is some of the best in the world right now, but if there's one thing they really know how to do well, it's swimwear.

I first came across this a few months ago and shot it for one of my shopping pages when I was working at a magazine. I fell in love with the loud and proud Club Tropicana print and tiny gold skulls and swallows on the end of every strand-they make a really nice tinkling sound when you move that makes me sound a bit like a a fleet of Morris Dancers. I never thought that would be a selling point for anything, let alone swimwear, but there we go.

Apparently it's meant to 30 degrees here tomorrow but the fact it's white over with clouds outside and I'm sitting by the fire with a cup of tea (yes, in June) doesn't bode well....

It's the accessories in this shoot that really make it for me. The battered turquoise cuff, gold curb bracelets and, of course, the tail... (I have been known to sit and stroke mine whilst sitting on the tube on the way into work in the morning like a crazy cat lady). I get mixed reviews when I take it out and about attached to my bag, but it's still one of my favorite finds from last year.

And ever since I saw Ashley Olsen in that red suit with a breton t-shirt underneath I've been obsessed with finding one for myself...this editorial has only fuelled the sartorial fire so I'm now on the hunt.

Heading out of London and going home this weekend which I'm too excited for. Will finally have some time to blog properly too and show you some of my recent purchases that have been making getting dressed in the morning that bit more fun.

Some might remember a snapshot a few weeks ago of my bed in outfit-planning chaos-the prepping for a little project I had lined up. Well, all the prepping was because I was the super-talented Vanessa Jackman asked if she could shoot me for her Street Style Feature "Girl Next Door" for Grazia.it, the results of which are up now.

For a non-outfit post blogger, it was the first shoot of this kind I've ever done so the nerves definitely set in that morning, especially after Vanessa tole me she was using film so there's no option to look back, review and re-take-blinking was not an option! Luckily, I was in incredibly safe hands and Vanessa put me right at ease. After two and half nail-biting weeks with the photos getting developed, the results went live on Friday so I thought it only right I put them up for you to see.
